Laying up Scheme

The Club has facilities for laying up yachts and keelboats on the car park from October - April inclusive, for which there is an annual fixed charge of £270 for 2010 / 2011 season. The cost of hiring the pressure washer for all involved in the scheme is £20 per use. Members are invoiced in May each year and dues must be paid by the 1st July to reserve a space for the coming winter.

Due to the nature of the scheme those without their own road trailer will be required to have a tailor made cradle constructed to the correct dimensions, details of which can be obtained from the committee. The maximum length for yachts is 32ft and the boat must not exceed 7 tons.

For laying up and launching, members may use the club slipway or have their boat craned in by MDL. In either event the cost of transportation at present is £45 payable to the tractor driver on the day.

The scheme has a short waiting list but every effort will be made to accommodate your boat as quickly as possible.
