General Information

The Club's marina was built in 1999 and it has grown from its original 36 berths to 54 berths. These are all occupied by Club members but as many members spend their summers cruising both locally and afar there are always berths for visitors and we can proudly say that we never turn anybody away.

The club and marina facilities include: bar and catering, showers and toilets, Internet access, electricity, water, sanitation pump out, landing slip and scrubbing posts.

In close proximity facilities include: diesel, chandlery, gas, electronics repairs and maintenance, boat hoist and crane, marine engineers, sail repairs and shipwright.

Arriving from Harwich the first downriver row is A with B and C, the two rows within the marina pond and D the row nearest the Orwell bridge.

Berths are then numbered from 1 with this being the first berth inside the hammerhead.

Visitors Informations

Please call our Berth Master Geoff Prentice on VHF77 or 07742 145 994 Friday to Sunday or call the Club Office on 01473 780319. Alternatively you can come alongside the hammerhead and pay at the Club's bar.

Visiting yachts are politely asked to vacate the berth by 1500. Short stay visits are permitted FOC subject to the crew eating at the club otherwise a £10 fee will be incurred.
